Our company offers a "Fungal Fatty Acid Analysis Service" that selects characteristic fatty acids from fungi as standard substances, in addition to animal and plant fatty acids, to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the fatty acid composition contained in lipids. To analyze the fatty acids contained in fungi, we first culture the fungi under specific conditions. Next, we extract the lipid components from the fungi and perform methyl esterification. The obtained samples are measured using a gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) system to analyze the fatty acid composition. The analysis results are compared to identify and classify the fungi.
